An update on field trips

The registration for field trips has closed this Sunday. However, the main registration is still open, until late April. Once more, we remind you that the registration package includes the conference itself, coffee breaks and refreshments, a conference dinner and mid-conference field trip. We charge no abstract fees. Accommodation is not included. On balance, we trust that you will agree with us that this is good value indeed.

At the time of writing (mid-March), more than 80 people registered and are planning to attend one of our great field trips. We are looking forwards to see you all in the field !

On the flip side, three of our trips did not attract enough interest, and we were, sadly, forced to cancel them. The (few) who registered for them are being informed and offered options (refund or participation to another trip). We apologize to the participants who can not get their first choice, and to the leaders who put effort in planning for an event that will not happen.

If you wanted to register but missed the dealine – well, all hope is not lost. There are always cancellation and last minute changes, so we encourage you to be in touch with the leaders and see if they can perhaps put you in waiting list. No promises but you never know… At the moment we still have some space on the Massif Central and Adamello trips.
