My research focuses on the role of water and other magmatic volatiles in large-scale silicic magmatic systems, in particular their effect on the eruption behavior of these systems, their interaction with continental crust and their role in accumulating metals to form ore deposits. For my work I combine field observations with petrology, geochemistry, high-temperature experiments, and modeling.

  • Theme 4: Fluids in and around granites

In this theme, we discuss the role of evolution of melts, supercritical fluids, etc. in particular during final cooling and solidification of plutons. We also address the textural development of granitoids. We welcome contributions on pegmatites, ore deposits, geothermal fluids, etc.
