Thomas Driesner

  • Overview speaker
  • Department of Earth Science, ETH Zürich

Thomas Driesner is a geochemist with 30 years of research on hydrothermal fluids. His main focus is on numerical simulation of (magmatic-) hydrothermal fluid flow and on fluid thermodynamics, but being a geologist by training he also employs field work, fluid inclusions and stable isotopes

Session

  • Theme 4: Fluids in and around granites

In this theme, we discuss the role of evolution of melts, supercritical fluids, etc. in particular during final cooling and solidification of plutons. We also address the textural development of granitoids. We welcome contributions on pegmatites, ore deposits, geothermal fluids, etc.
